Vouch AI: Enhancing Authenticity and Efficiency

July 10, 2023

When 2023 began with ChatGPT becoming the fastest-growing consumer app in history, we all knew we were in for a year of AI exponential growth.

But the story that’s really piqued our interest is AI’s expansion into the video space.

Meta is one of the many technology companies getting in on the act with their Make-A-Video, a state-of-the-art AI system that generates videos from text. And barely a day goes by without a dystopian headline around deep fakes.

Over the past 12 months, we’ve weighed up the areas in which it can add value to our customer’s lives. Rather than deliver a shiny new tool that will be used once and forgotten, we’ve challenged ourselves to focus on using AI to streamline those points of friction in the video creation workflow.

Scaling human impact

Today we’re excited to launch our first release of AI features, and announce those still to come. Heads up, you won’t find any deep fakes here. In fact, we’re more committed to the power of authenticity and real, great storytelling than ever, and believe engaging, authentic video content will  become even more important over the next few years.

Through our customers, we’ve witnessed firsthand how personal videos drive businesses forward. Whether that’s customer stories, sales conversations, internal communications, or product feedback, it’s real people that drive reliability and trust, and make video impactful.

While AI algorithms excel at automation, data analysis, and content generation, they lack emotional depth, authenticity, and creativity. These unique human qualities are what make content interesting, memorable, and capable of resonating with audiences.

With all of that in mind, we’ve worked to deliver AI features that will help our customers streamline video workflows, while maintaining the authenticity and quality that makes video meaningful.

AI-powered question generator

From day one, one of our most frequently asked customer questions has been “what questions should I ask?” Whether requesting video from your customers, prospects or team, everyone wants to know what questions will elicit the most insightful answers. It’s why we launched question templates, and why an AI-powered question generator was top of our list.

Offering a more personalised approach than question templates, our new question generator will provide you with a list of questions, tailored to your prompt. Consider a marketer that’s short on time but needs to create a customer story.

They no longer need to spend time thinking of a list of questions and create them in the platform. They simply ask Vouch to generate the best testimonial questions that’ll highlight product features XYZ, select their favourites from those generated, and they’re away.

We’re excited to see sales teams use this feature to generate questions for deal reviews and discovery, and people and culture teams use it to showcase their employer brand. Jump in and give it a try here.

AI-powered video scripts

Despite the fact we spend hours every day on video calls, there’s often still inertia when being asked to answer questions or record a video yourself.

Our AI-powered video scripts were built to prevent that. Based on the prompt you share, Vouch will provide a script that’ll help guide the narrative of your video. This will be particularly powerful for sales reps who know a personalised prospecting video is much more impactful than an email, but struggle to create them in volume. The script generator can also add much-needed structure. For example the sales rep could ask “What are the three things I need to highlight to move the deal to the next stage?”

This will also assist customers who have been asked for a testimonial and know what benefits they want to highlight, but need a helping hand.

Even if not read word for word, the scripts will provide helpful thought starters, ease friction and support faster campaign and video creation. I’ll be using it to create the perfect cover video to send alongside my Vouch requests. Try it here.

AI-powered search

As businesses create vast video libraries, extracting the most value from them requires robust tools for searching and sorting content.

With AI-powered search, Vouch customers can now explore transcripts, keywords to instantly access the most relevant content from their libraries. These intelligent capabilities will allow customers to uncover deeper customer insights, and enable informed decision-making by analysing feedback, internal communications narratives, and sales requests.

Still to come

Our team are still busy behind the scenes working to bring you more AI-powered features that ease workloads and enhance their video's impact.

- AI-powered transcription summaries will soon extract key talking points from videos and present them as written highlights in a concise summary. It’ll also identify and highlight what it considers to be ‘top quotes’ in a video, dramatically reducing the time it takes to review your clips.

- AI-powered editing will transform large video libraries into Playlists of the best clips, which can be automatically generated by Vouch or controlled by customers through text-based prompts.

- AI recommendations will suggest the best Vouch video for sales teams to share to move deals along. And recommended which language to use in a recording.

- We’re also exploring audio enhancements, such as background noise reduction and speech enhancement, plus video quality enhancements that upscale videos from 720p to 4K.
