How our $8M funding will help more teams unlock the power of video

It’s an exciting day at Vouch HQ as we officially announce our $8M AUD seed round, led by Stage 2 Capital and Our Innovation Fund. 

We also welcome a host of amazing new investors and advisors who join us on this journey, including Oji Udezue (Product Lead at Twitter, formerly CPO at Calendly), Allison Pickens (New Normal Fund and formerly COO at Gainsight) and Chris Wheeler (GTM Lead at Microsoft).

The journey so far

This milestone comes after an incredible year of user growth, team expansion and product delivery. In just over 12 months, we’ve gone from our MVP and a handful of beta users, to 5,000 customers using Vouch in 82 countries around the world. Together they have collected 23,500 videos that have shared real customer stories, closed sales deals and connected teams working remotely. 

These early users include teams at Atlassian, Canva, Dropbox and Culture Amp, plus many more, who have been instrumental in shaping the valuable product Vouch is today with their open and honest feedback.

And as our user base has grown, so too has our wonderful team. We now have dedicated Designers, Marketers and a growing Product team all working to deliver a platform to simplify video collection for teams all around the world. This funding is testament to the incredible work they have done so far, and will help us scale our team even further. 

So, what’s next? 

We’re more committed than ever to our mission to unlock the power of video, for teams of all shapes and sizes.  

For businesses, video has become a non-negotiable. 84% of people were convinced to buy a product or service based on the brand’s video and 87% of marketers say video has helped them increase traffic. And it’s not just marketers, teams working on user research and internal comms also need video to engage and connect. 

The problem is, many are still relying on outdated, expensive and time-consuming video production processes. Or simply putting it in the too hard basket and abandoning it altogether. 

Our goal is to fix this with an easy-to-use, scalable and powerful platform that can be used by marketers seeking real testimonials, product teams collecting honest user feedback or teams looking for a more engaging way to share internal comms.

These new funds will help us to continue to deliver on our ambitious roadmap at a faster rate. We are gearing up to ship a range of powerful features that will make it even easier to collect, edit and share video, and we can’t wait to share them with you. 

So as we embark on the next phase for Vouch, a big thank you to everyone that has supported us so far. We couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity ahead.
